New Resto druid mastery: Increases the potency of your heals on targets upon which you have a hot.The idea is very simple, you can see it as a 'Nourish' effect on all our spells although it does work a tiny bit different. The whole idea behind our mastery is that our spells will be stronger if we already have a HoT spell on the target, but it can not be the same spell. Example would be like in the blue post: Rejuvenation does not get stronger if Rejuvenation is already on your target, but if you would cast Healing Touch it would gain a bonus of Rejuvenation.
It benefits both hots and direct heals equally while still supporting Resto being a healer that cares a lot about hots. It encourages layering different spells while disincentivizing Rejuv blanketing.
1) You cast Regrowth on someone who has a Rejuv = bonus healing.
2) You cast Nourish on someone who has a Lifebloom = bonus healing.
3) You Swiftmend a Rejuv = bonus healing.
4) You cast a Rejuv on someone who does not have a Regrowth, LB or WG on them = no bonus healing.
5) You cast Rejuv on someone who has a Rejuv = no bonus healing. (You merely refreshed Rejuv.)
6) You cast a Wild Growth = bonus healing on those with preexisting hots.
Here are a few point on how I see our 'new' mastery and what I think about it:
Swiftmend got buffed, I don't care what you say but that's just it because... You can't cast Swiftmend WITHOUT a HoT :) so it's just a buff to a spell that needed a bit 'extra'!
RestoDruids will be able to offer a more enjoyable and skilled gameplay to their raid/group because this mastery adds a mechanic that needs to be 'activated' (by thinking about casting a HoT in advance or not for the extra healing from the HoT itself and the bonus from the mastery to our next spell on that target). A lot of people still complain about other healers mastery and that they don't have to do anything to activate it, what do I care? I like playing smart!
Tankhealing will become a lot more interesting in ways of gear. (mastery rating might offer a huge bonus) and healing multiple tanks will be a bit easier because you'll get bonus healing on both if you have Rejuvenation running (while LB is only one target).
Wild Growth becomes more dynamic in ways it will increase it's healing on people who already have a HoT (which means they are taking more damage).
Overall the healing game that RestoDruids will have to provide will be a lot more dynamic and will need a lot more thinking and considering than other healers! One big /cheer for Blizzard plz!
